How have you reduced the packaging?

We are committed to providing fresh, high-quality ingredients to customers. In some instances, we use packaging to keep food fresh and safe to eat, which eliminates food waste. We’re fully aware of the environmental impact that some packaging has and the team is actively addressing this. 

We have a continuous packaging reduction programme in place to ensure we are eliminating packaging where we can. We have reduced the amount of packaging used in our boxes by 20% since 2017 and have removed black plastic across all our products and made all our spices, nuts and seeds packaging recyclable.

We are working with industry bodies such as WRAP to explore ways we can take advantage of packaging innovation. The packaging we use is carefully considered to ensure our ingredients stay fresh and are not damaged on the way to you. We know we still have some work to do to reduce our plastic use and we have a dedicated team in place to achieve this.
